HOMOCYSTEINE - LOWERING COMPLEX

TETRARDIOL

There is always something new to know about your health. For instance, about high homocysteine levels, which is one of these lesser known health challenges. And TETRARDIOL® cardioAGE is a new dietary supplement that addresses this challenge. Homocysteine is produced from normal dietary protein, namely from the amino acid methionine. Ideally, it should be present in the body in very low quantities. However, the enzymes that turn homocysteine into some very important endogenous antioxidants – glutathione and SAM-e (S-adenosyl methionine) – sometimes don’t work efficiently, so blood homocysteine levels increase. And just like cholesterol, a high concentration of homocysteine in the blood can be very deleterious, especially for the heart, brain and arteries.

By lowering your homocysteine levels you can help reduce some cardiovascular risk factors. As you reach middle age and beyond, try to lessen your dietary protein load (especially meat) and add more vitamins which help metabolize homocysteine.

TETRARDIOL® cardioAGE provides a powerful combination of four specific and most active homocysteine-lowering nutrients. These include vitamins B6, B12, folic acid and trimethylglycine (TMG), or the so-called «Morrison’s tetrad,» which are needed for the normal activity of the homocysteine-lowering enzymes.
